Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's Academy vs. Atlanta Jewish Academy

The St. Mary's Academy Bobcats will take on the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Mary's Academy's offense. They fell 2-0 to St. George's on Wednesday. Considering the last time St. Mary's Academy couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Jewish Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-0 to St. George's.

Atlanta Jewish Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's still a better percentage than their 1-5-1 record this season.

Everything went St. Mary's Academy's way against Atlanta Jewish Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as St. Mary's Academy made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Jaguar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
