Basketball Recap: West York Area Bulldogs vs. Red Lion Lions

West York Area and Red Lion squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but West York Area had to settle for second. They fell 55-44 to the Red Lion Lions. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

It was another big night for Julia Sedora, who went 7 of 9 to rack up 19 points along with seven boards and five steals for Red Lion. What's more, Sedora also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bekah Sedora, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

West York Area's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Red Lion, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.

West York Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Red Lion, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dallastown has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
