Baseball Recap: Wayne City Comes Up Short

Wayne City fell victim to North Clay/Clay City and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to North Clay/Clay City. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to North Clay/Clay City from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

Wayne City has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season. As for North Clay/Clay City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wayne City will challenge Zeigler-Royalton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Clay/Clay City, they will take on Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
