Basketball Recap: Holy Names Monarchs vs. Redwood Christian Eagles
Holy Names lost against Redwood Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Holy Names Monarchs came up short against the Redwood Christian Eagles, falling 29-6. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Redwood Christian found their leader in sophomore Lilliana Faumuina, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 steals. What's more, Faumuina also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madyson Krowicki, who posted eight points.
Holy Names' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Redwood Christian, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Names will face off against Cristo Rey De La Salle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redwood Christian, they will square off against California School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
