Baseball Recap: Lakeview Academy Comes Up Short

Lakeview Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Athens Christian Eagles, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 on Tuesday.

Lakeview Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Graham, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lakeview Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Athens Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-4.

While Lakeview Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
