After a string of seven wins, Milton's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Sequoyah Chiefs by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since August 7th.

Elizabeth Wilkes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Sequoyah, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, Milton will be playing in front of their home fans against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sequoyah, they will face off against Riverwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
