            Softball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors vs. Sonoraville Phoenix        
        
		
        
        
            Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe had lost five straight on the road, but  on Thursday they dropped down to 4-20 to make it six. They lost  14-0 to the Sonoraville Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-2  back in September.
As for Sonoraville, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games.
For Sonoraville's part,  Ansley Hall was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Hall has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other pitching news,  Lila Mullinax looked comfortable as she  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time she's  pitched this season.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cadence Mulkey, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  triples, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of  Peyton Angel, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
 Coming up, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will take on Trion at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last five matchups. As for Sonoraville, they will challenge Ringgold at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
