Recap: North East Grape Pickers vs. Iroquois Braves
The North East Grape Pickers won the last time they faced the Iroquois Braves, and things went their way on Monday too. North East blew past Iroquois 57-17 on the road. That 57-17 margin sets a new team best for North East this season.
North East can attribute much of their success to Gigi Gaston, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Alaina Rodemoyer was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
North East pushed their record up to 3-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Iroquois, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
North East and Corry will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th at. As for Iroquois, they will head out on the road to face off against Pitkin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pitkin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Iroquois in their respective states (Pitkin is ranked 59th in Louisiana, while Iroquois is ranked 548th in Pennsylvania).
