Basketball Recap: Ferndale Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ferndale extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a blow against the Windber Ramblers, falling 65-18. The Yellow Jackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-8.

When it comes to explaining why Ferndale lost, don't look at Geonna Riffle. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and five boards.

As for Windber, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Kaylie Gaye continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 11 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ferndale will head out to take on Fort Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Windber, they will venture away from home to face off against Meyersdale at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Ramblers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
