Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

Franklin is 2-8 against Eagle Rock since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin took on Lincoln on Friday. The Panthers managed a 33-28 win over the Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock was able to grind out a solid win over Robert F. Kennedy Community on Monday, taking the game 47-34.

Eagle Rock's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Franklin against Eagle Rock when the teams last played back in January of 2025, as the team secured a 51-23 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
