Baseball Recap: Reading Memorial Triumphs

Reading Memorial lost to Shawsheen Valley Tech back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Sunday. The Rockets walked away with a 4-1 win over the Rams. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Cam Harrigan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.

At the plate, Sam Clark was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Nate Vitarisi, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Reading Memorial's record now sits at 15-2. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they moved to 13-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Reading Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Woburn Memorial on the 19th. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 win against Concord-Carlisle on the 19th.
