Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Jenkins

Jenkins waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Groves Rebels 17-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 8, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Jenkins got a massive performance out of DJ Rohan, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Rohan is becoming a predictor of Jenkins' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Charlie Stuart, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Jenkins' victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Groves, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Jenkins and Groves will both be playing Johnson the next time they take the field. Jenkins will head out to face Johnson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Groves will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on March 24th.
