Football Recap: Sidney Takes a Loss

Sidney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Butler Aviators, falling 31-6. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Aviators are ranked 221st).

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Butler, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sidney is set to square off against their familiar foe Xenia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Butler will challenge rival Tippecanoe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Aviators 11.8, the Red Devils 5) so any points scored will be well earned.
