Basketball Recap: 13 Straight Home Victories for Monache

Monache's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 49-19 victory over the Dinuba Emperors. The Marauders pushed the score to 43-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Emperors had little chance of recovering from.

Monache's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from London Haynes, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Haynes has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelley Andrade, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Monache smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. They are a perfect 3-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Dinuba's loss came despite strong showings from Kathryne Forbes and Peyton Acevedo. Forbes earned six points along with five boards and three steals, while Acevedo scored eight points.

Monache pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Dinuba, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Monache will head out to square off against Tehachapi at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dinuba, they will be home for the holidays to greet Edison at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
