Football Recap: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Big Spring Bulldogs

Boiling Springs extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They had to suffer through a 53-7 loss at the hands of the Big Spring Bulldogs. The Bubblers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.

As for Big Spring, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jordan Myers and Jesse Binger. Myers rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries while Binger rushed for 157 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Those 179 rushing yards gave Myers a new career-high.
