Softball Game Preview: Arabia Mountain Rams vs. Therrell Panthers

The Arabia Mountain Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Therrell Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arabia Mountain has given up an average of 13.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Arabia Mountain lost 19-6 to Lakeside on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Therrell hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 18-3 victory. Considering the Panthers have won eight matchups by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Therrell's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.6 runs over those games. As for Arabia Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Arabia Mountain couldn't quite finish off Therrell in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 and fell 11-9. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
