Palmyra extends home winning streak to seven

Recap: Palmyra Cougars vs. Milton Hershey Spartans

The Palmyra Cougars came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Milton Hershey with a 50-44 victory. Given Palmyra's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Milton Hershey is ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palmyra found their leader in underclassman Addison Salus, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Salus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keely Bowers, who scored 12 points along with five assists.

Palmyra's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Milton Hershey, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmyra will take on Cedar Cliff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton Hershey, they will head out on the road to take on Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
