Bodine entered their tilt with Simon Gratz on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They slipped by the Simon Gratz Bulldogs 44-43.

Simon Gratz's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zakkiyah Lucas, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Alana Wilkerson, who earned 12 points.

Bodine's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Simon Gratz, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bodine will challenge Sankofa Freedom Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Simon Gratz, they will head out to challenge Penn Treaty at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Penn Treaty's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Simon Gratz's offense will have their work cut out for them.
