Monte Vista will head into Friday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Amador Valley on Friday. Monte Vista was the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Amador Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted since December 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Livermore beat Concord 40-36 on Thursday.

Livermore's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15. As for Monte Vista, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

Everything came up roses for Monte Vista against Livermore when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-22 victory. Will Monte Vista repeat their success, or does Livermore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
