Baseball Recap: Forest Park Beats Stephenson for Their Third Straight Win

Forest Park put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Stephenson Jaguars 15-3. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered an 11-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Andre Turnipseed was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaheem Williams, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Forest Park's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Stephenson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Forest Park and Stephenson's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Forest Park will face off against St. Pius X Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a squad that's only allowed 3.83 runs per game. Meanwhile, Stephenson and M.L. King (who has only given up 3.4 runs per game) will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
