John Milledge Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Piedmont Academy Cougars. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

John Milledge Academy's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Whidby, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Whidby a new career-high.

John Milledge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Piedmont Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

John Milledge Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Piedmont Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
