Baseball Game Preview: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. Trinity Classical

The Pinecrest Academy Paladins will face off against Trinity Classical at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Pinecrest Academy's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Trinity Classical has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, everything went Pinecrest Academy's way against Hearts Academy as Pinecrest Academy made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Paladins, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mathew Sime made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Liam McCavitt was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Lucas Miles was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Pinecrest Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hearts Academy only posted a batting average of .188.

Meanwhile, Trinity Classical lost 18-4 to North Georgia HomeSchool last Tuesday.

Trinity Classical's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pinecrest Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
