Soccer Recap: McKinleyville Comes Up Short

McKinleyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eureka Loggers.

McKinleyville's goal came courtesy of Grace Pimentel, who's now up to eight this season.

McKinleyville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Eureka, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-2.

Coming up, McKinleyville will challenge South Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eureka will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers face off against Arcata, they'll take on Eureka again at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
