Football Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia and Cheney squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Concordia had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 36-10. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Drake Blochlinger threw for 185 yards and one touchdown. Ayden Krier was his top target, picking up 96 receiving yards.

Concordia now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cheney, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Concordia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheney, they will square off against Holcomb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Cardinals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
