Soccer Game Preview: Swainsboro vs. Vidalia

Swainsboro is 0-10 against Vidalia since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Swainsboro Tigers will square off against the Vidalia Indians at 7:00 p.m. Vidalia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Swainsboro, who comes in off a win.

Swainsboro will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Bleckley County, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Swainsboro came out on top against Bleckley County by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Peyton Taylor and De'Avion Rountree scored both of Swainsboro's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Vidalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Tattnall County. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by just one goal.

Vidalia's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Swainsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Swainsboro might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Vidalia in their previous matchup back in February. Can Swainsboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
