Baseball Recap: Westover Comes Up Short

If Westover was feeling good fresh off their 10-4 takedown of Monroe on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Westside Seminoles on Saturday, falling 15-0.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Westside, the victory snapped their losing streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

Looking ahead, Westover will venture away from home to challenge Hardaway at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.32 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westside, they will head out on the road to square off against Northside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seminoles are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
