Football Recap: San Manuel Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

San Manuel took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They really took it to the Valley Lutheran Flames for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-24 victory. With the Miners ahead 22-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to San Manuel's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Daniel Najera, Nick Perez, and Tanner Decker, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Manuel will welcome Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Miners their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Valley Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Joseph City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
