Meanwhile, Torres posted their biggest win since December 27, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Justin Garza 69-47. Given the Toros' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Guardians are ranked 885th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Torres pushed their record up to 20-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Tulare Union, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
