The Sacramento Adventist Capitals will be playing at home against the Denair Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Denair took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sacramento Adventist, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Sacramento Adventist at home against Golden Sierra as the team secured a 54-7 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-4.
Sacramento Adventist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Victoria Fowler out in front who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Fowler hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Mikayla Meza was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Denair had to suffer through a rough 54-22 loss at the hands of Summerville. Denair was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.
Despite the loss, Denair saw an underclassman step up: Cloey Ellerd scored 14 points. Ellerd scored a full 63.6% of Denair's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Sacramento Adventist's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Denair, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Sacramento Adventist have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.2 rebounds per game.
