Softball Recap: Northfield Comes Up Short

Northfield's tournament run continued when they took on Fountain-Fort Carson on Friday. The Nighthawks fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maci Molinary made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Carlene Reichmuth, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Northfield will face off against Poudre at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will host Brush at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
