Soccer Preview: Olympian vs. Eastlake
Olympian hasn't had much luck against Eastlake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Olympian Eagles will take on the Eastlake Titans at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.
Olympian is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Mater Dei Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Crusaders are ranked 169th).
Olympian's goal came courtesy of Maya Urias, who's now up to two this season.
Eastlake, on the other hand, haven't lost since January 4th and they too continued that trend. Neither they nor Mater Dei Catholic could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Titans have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.
Olympian's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. Eastlake's draw makes their record 12-2-4 this season.
