Baseball Recap: Coastal HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Coastal HomeSchool's offense. They came up short against the Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 two weeks ago.

Coastal HomeSchool saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Poppell, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. The Hurricanes are 4-2 when Poppell posts two or more stolen bases, but 7-11 otherwise.

Coastal HomeSchool dropped their record down to 11-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal HomeSchool will take on St. Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, they will challenge First Preparatory Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
