Soccer Game Preview: Washington vs. James Logan

The Washington Huskies will take on the James Logan Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Washington took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Moreau Catholic a 6-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Moreau Catholic with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tianah Lowery (2), Ava Garcia (2), Jamilla Ingram-Coats, and Leilene Carvalho.

Meanwhile, James Logan entered their game against Newark Memorial on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. James Logan fell 3-1 to Newark Memorial. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Colts couldn't quite close it out.

Washington now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for James Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-2.

Washington suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to James Logan when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
