Soccer Game Preview: Patrick Henry vs. Mt. Carmel

Patrick Henry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Mater Dei Catholic 2-1. The Patriots wouldn't have won without Briahna Gieger, who scored the game-winner.

Mission Hills typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Mt. Carmel proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Sundevils were the better team in the second half.

Patrick Henry's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five contests. As for Mt. Carmel, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.
