Basketball Game Preview: Placer Hillmen vs. River Valley Falcons

Placer has won five straight games at home, while River Valley has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Placer Hillmen will host the River Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Placer earned a 35-25 victory over Yuba City. The win continues a trend for the Hillmen in their matchups with the Honkers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, River Valley didn't have too much trouble with Del Campo on Tuesday as they won 53-34.

River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for Placer, their victory bumped their record up to 20-5.

Everything came up roses for Placer against River Valley in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 69-27 win. Will Placer repeat their success, or does River Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
