Softball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

If Westlake was feeling good fresh off their 21-5 takedown of Mays on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions came up short against the Carrollton Trojans on Tuesday, falling 18-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Carrollton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westlake will venture away from home to take on Locust Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carrollton, they will head out to face off against Cedartown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
