Soccer Game Preview: Evergreen Valley vs. Christopher

Evergreen Valley will take on Christopher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evergreen Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Evergreen Valley's offense. They came up short against Branham on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Evergreen Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 930th, while Branham are ranked 359th).

Meanwhile, Christopher entered their matchup against Leigh on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Christopher's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Christopher's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Evergreen Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

Evergreen Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Christopher when the teams last played back in February of 2025, winning 3-1. Does Evergreen Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Christopher turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
