Softball Recap: Maquoketa Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Maquoketa's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Davenport West Falcons on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Maquoketa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Davenport West, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.

Maquoketa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-5 loss against Muscatine on the 14th. As for Davenport West, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Waterloo West on the 14th.
