Carrollton had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Gilmer on Saturday. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Gilmer, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrollton will welcome Douglas County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.14 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gilmer, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Heritage at 5:30 p.m. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
