Volleyball Recap: Ava Chrisco Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Smith-Cotton

It was a proper cat-fight when Oak Grove faced off against Smith-Cotton on Wednesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Oak Grove was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-14, 25-8.

Oak Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Chrisco led the charge by getting five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Chrisco has posted over her last 12 matchups.
