Basketball Game Preview: Slippery Rock Rockets vs. Greenville Trojans

Slippery Rock and Greenville are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The Slippery Rock Rockets will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Greenville Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Slippery Rock will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Slippery Rock proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 26) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Grove City, sneaking past 52-49.

It was another big night for Madison Romanovich, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 26 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Cj Sabo was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Greenville slipped by Grove City 38-37 on Thursday.

Greenville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Slippery Rock, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Slippery Rock didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Greenville when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 37-31 victory.
