Basketball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

Eastlake lost against Carlsbad back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eastlake Titans were beaten by the Carlsbad Lancers 79-19. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 814th, while the Lancers are ranked 348th).

Eastlake's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Carlsbad, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Eastlake will square off against Bonita Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlsbad, they will take on Poway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carlsbad is facing Poway at the right time seeing as Poway is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
