Softball Recap: Westview Falls Short Against Ranked Gretna

Westview faced Gretna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolverines took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 9-5.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Gretna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gretna beat Westview by a score of 5-2 later that day.
