Soccer Game Preview: Hughson vs. Ripon

Hughson is 0-10 against Ripon since January of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Huskies will host the Indians at 3:30 p.m.

Hughson is coming into the matchup fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Hilmar that saw the pair combine for 19 shots on goal. The Huskies came up short against the Yellowjackets on Wednesday, falling 6-1. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Hughson it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Keylee Lundquist, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Ripon kept a clean sheet against Hilmar on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. Considering Ripon have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ripon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six matches. As for Hughson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-5.
