Lewis Central lost to Clarinda on Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Titans came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-3.

Emerson Coziahr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubree Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Camryn King, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Lewis Central is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Clarinda, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-8.

Looking ahead, Lewis Central will square off against Sioux City North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clarinda, they will challenge Lenox at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
