Brookstone got themselves on the board against Chipley on Tuesday, but Chipley never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 12-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Chanwoo Kim was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Brookstone let  Mercer Hudson and  Charles Briscoe run wild. Hudson  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while  Briscoe  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  Briscoe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Will Turner, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Brookstone  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five  strikeouts batters  in eight consecutive  matches.
Brookstone has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Chipley,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-8.
 Looking ahead, Brookstone will face off against Westfield School at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Chipley, they will head out to  face off against North Bay Haven Academy  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
