Football Recap: South Granville Skates Past Cedar Ridge with Ease + How To Watch

South Granville was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cedar Ridge on Friday. The Vikings simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Fighting Red Wolves 48-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Granville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Wilkerson, who rushed for 127 yards on only 13 carries. Wilkerson's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Ashton Hailey-Alston helped out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Granville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

South Granville's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Cedar Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
