Baseball Recap: Suffield Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

While Suffield put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Stafford. The Wildcats blew past the Bulldogs 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Gagnon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Gagnon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

In other batting news, James Nikolis was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Baril, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

The win (which was Suffield's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Stafford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Suffield nor Stafford have any future games scheduled.
