Recap: Middletown Middie Bears vs. Pine Bush Bushmen
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Middletown Middie Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Pine Bush. The result was nothing new for Middletown, who have now won seven matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Although Pine Bush took the loss, they still got scores from Logan Hawley, Tyler Sheeley, and Plexico Brooks.
The win was the fifth in a row for Middletown, bringing their record for this year to 8-1. As for Pine Bush, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Middletown will head out on the road to face off against Newburgh Free Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Newburgh Free Academy is ranked 27th, while Middletown is ranked 49th). Pine Bush does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
