Baseball Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short

Wheeler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Marietta Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-1 defeat on Friday.

Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Marietta, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-13.

Coming up, Wheeler will challenge Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marietta, they will square off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
